Tension run high in the police department and Bubba (Alan Autry) becomes the center of racial controversy in Sparta when he is accused of attacking a black woman after trying to save her from a would-be rapist. While he doesn't believe the charges, Gillespie has no choice but to suspend the officer when a politically ambitious prosecutor starts making waves.
